Thanks so much for your comment and excellent question – it helped to spur me to action.

I was also having a password recovery problem this weekend. I solved my password recovery problem by watching this excellent 17 minute video that had a section on password recovery:

I found the video by using Progress Monitor's (http://myqol.com) "Members Only" Video search feature with the keywords "password recovery"

There are three parts to getting password recovery to work.

1. Use Web Application Tool in Visual Web Developer or Visual Studio to go to Application Settings to set SMTP settings
2. Web.config – mailSettings
3. MailDefinition

Password Recovery Section I tired from your video about hundreds times but faild. I don't know why? might be my lack of smtp config. knowledge.
Would you kindly suggest me that how can i succeed on the matter. Everything I did as per the video but when final click it show server error……smtp gmail cant reach…….localhost forciblly closed……etc.

i'll be grateful if you kindly can give me a easiest solution or explanation, just because i'm new in visual web developer.
