C-Sharp Asin Example – Code Sample Syntax
C-Sharp Asin Example – Code Sample Syntax
Purpose: – Illustrates using C-Sharp Asin Code Example.
Purpose:
takes a double data type number that represents a sine and
returns a double value that represents the angle of that sine when
measured in radians. (you can convert the radians to degrees by
multiplying them by Math.PI/180)
Syntax:
Asin(double)
Asin(double)
Parameters | Description | double | The expression represents a sine that is to be converted into radians of an angle. Any valid System.Double data type number between -1 and +1 if number < -1 or > 1, NaN is returned – NaN stands for Not a Number |
---|
Result Data Type | Description | double | represents the radians of the angle of the sine that was specified as the input parameter. |
---|
Quick Example | Asin(0.5) // Returns .523598775598299 |
---|
Step 1: Click cs to Cut-n-paste code into clsAsin.cs
using System; public class clsAsin { public void Main() { //******************************************************************************** // Purpose: takes a double data type number that represents a sine and // returns a double value that represents the angle of that sine when // measured in radians. (you can convert the radians to degrees by // multiplying them by Math.PI/180) // // Syntax: Asin(double) // // Parameter1: double - The expression represents a sine that is // to be converted into radians of an angle. Any // valid System.Double data type number between -1 and +1 // if number < -1 or > 1, NaN is returned - NaN stands for Not a Number // // Result: double - represents the radians of the angle of the sine // that was specified as the input parameter. // // Quick Example: Asin(0.5) // Returns .523598775598299 // // //******************************************************************************** // This example is from http://idealprogrammer.com Console.WriteLine("Example #1: Asin(90)"); Console.WriteLine(Math.Asin(90)); // Returns NaN //write blank line to make output easier to read Console.WriteLine(); Console.WriteLine("Example #2: Asin(-3.4)"); Console.WriteLine(Math.Asin(-3.4)); // Returns NaN //write blank line to make output easier to read Console.WriteLine(); Console.WriteLine("Example #3: Asin(0.5)"); Console.WriteLine(Math.Asin(0.5)); // Returns .523598775598299 //Prevent console from closing before you press enter Console.ReadLine(); } } |
Step 2: Click cs to Cut-n-paste code into Module1.cs
Module Module1 Sub Main() Dim myclsAsin As New clsAsin myclsAsin.Main() End Sub End Module |
Prerequistes:
- Install C-Sharp (Express or Standard Edition)
- Install SQL Server Express
- Download Northwind and pubs Database
- Attach Northwind Database to Databases in Sql Express
- Attach pubs Database to Databases in Sql Express
Notes:
- Console Application is used to simplify things, but Windows Forms or Web Forms could also be used
- You can build a library of syntax examples by using same project over and over and just commenting out what you do not want to execute in Module1.cs
Instructions:
- Use C-Sharp 2010 Express or Standard Edition
- Create new project;
- Click File/New Project
- Select Console Application Template
- Select C-Sharp for Language
