C-Sharp Exp Example – Code Sample Syntax
C-Sharp Exp Example – Code Sample Syntax
Purpose: – Illustrates using C-Sharp Exp Code Example.
Purpose:
takes a double data type number and returns a double value
containing e (the base of natural logarithms) raised to the specified power.
Syntax:
Exp(doublenumber)
Exp(doublenumber)
Parameters | Description | doublenumber | a number specifying a power. |
---|
Result Data Type | Description | double | The number e raised to the power of parameter1. If parameter1 equals NaN or PositiveInfinity, that value is returned. If parameter1 equals NegativeInfinity, 0 is returned. |
---|
Quick Example | Exp(90) // Returns 1.22040329431784E+39 |
---|
Step 1: Click cs to Cut-n-paste code into clsExp.cs
using System; public class clsExp { public void Main() { //******************************************************************************** // Purpose: takes a double data type number and returns a double value // containing e (the base of natural logarithms) raised to the specified power. // // Syntax: Exp(doublenumber) // // Parameter1: doublenumber - a number specifying a power. // // Result: double - The number e raised to the power of // parameter1. If parameter1 equals NaN or // PositiveInfinity, that value is returned. // If parameter1 equals NegativeInfinity, 0 // is returned. // // Quick Example: Exp(90) // Returns 1.22040329431784E+39 // //******************************************************************************** // This example is from http://idealprogrammer.com Console.WriteLine("Example #1: Exp(90)"); Console.WriteLine(Math.Exp(90)); // Returns 1.22040329431784E+39 //write blank line to make output easier to read Console.WriteLine(); Console.WriteLine("Example #2: Exp(-3.4)"); Console.WriteLine(Math.Exp(-3.4)); // Returns -0.966798192579461 //write blank line to make output easier to read Console.WriteLine(); Console.WriteLine("Example #3: Exp(-0)"); Console.WriteLine(Math.Exp(-0)); // Returns 1 //Prevent console from closing before you press enter Console.ReadLine(); } } |
Step 2: Click cs to Cut-n-paste code into Module1.cs
Module Module1 Sub Main() Dim myclsExp As New clsExp myclsExp.Main() End Sub End Module |
Prerequistes:
- Install C-Sharp (Express or Standard Edition)
- Install SQL Server Express
- Download Northwind and pubs Database
- Attach Northwind Database to Databases in Sql Express
- Attach pubs Database to Databases in Sql Express
Notes:
- Console Application is used to simplify things, but Windows Forms or Web Forms could also be used
- You can build a library of syntax examples by using same project over and over and just commenting out what you do not want to execute in Module1.cs
